Writing + Research

I use writing to make complexity legible, public, and useful. Across curatorial essays, public research, strategic plans, grant narratives, reports, interpretive materials, and digital knowledge projects, I connect close inquiry with the needs of the people who will encounter the work or act on it.

Sometimes writing extends an encounter with an artwork. Sometimes it creates a public record where none existed, aligns a board, supports a funding decision, preserves community knowledge, or turns research into a practical framework. In each case, the goal is not simply publication. It is to create understanding that can travel—across audiences, institutions, and decisions.
